Welcome to simloops. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use it. This is a small hobby project; the language below is plain on purpose.
Your account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your handle. Use a unique password and keep it private. You can delete your account any time by contacting us.
What you post
You own your submissions (sims, descriptions, comments). By posting, you grant simloops a non-exclusive license to display them so other users can read and run them. You can remove your own posts at any time.
New submissions from non-moderator users enter a moderation queue and only become visible on the feed after a moderator approves them. We may remove or reject any submission at our discretion — typically for spam, malware, harassment, illegal content, or breaking the rules of a community.
Don't post code that tries to defeat the sandbox, exploit browsers, mine cryptocurrency, exfiltrate data, or otherwise harm anyone running your sim. Don't post content you don't have the right to share.
The sandbox is best-effort
Sims run as arbitrary JavaScript inside your browser, inside an isolated iframe + Web Worker with a heartbeat watchdog and a strict Content Security Policy. That stops the most common attack vectors, but no sandbox is perfect. Don't run sims if you don't trust the source. You execute sims at your own risk.
Acceptable use
No automated mass signups, vote manipulation, scraping at high rates, or evading the rate limits we set. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or sexual content involving minors. Don't impersonate other users or moderators.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
No warranty, limited liability
simloops is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our maximum aggregate liability for anything related to this service is limited to the total amount you have paid us (which is zero).
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll bump the date at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the home page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
